James T. Basile

James moved to the area 10 years ago from New York.

He was a Lieutenant for the NYC Fire Department, serving as a fireman for 38 years. He was also a

Registered Nurse. He served as a United States Marine in Korea and served also in the United States

Army Reserves. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. James was a member of

the VFW, and was always active in helping the church, the VFW, and anything else he could. In the eyes

of his family, his NYC Fire Department family, and all who met him, he was a true hero.

James was preceded in death by his daughter, MaryAnn Che, (Joseph Che, surviving spouse).

James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita Basile; 3 sons:Michael(Tiffany) Basile, Thomas(Faith

Weeks) Basile, and Dean Roberts; 3 daughters: Karen(Steve) Basile-Koenig, Donna(Michael)Basile-

Louison, and Jamie(William) Stahura; 10 grandchildren: Kaitlyn Basile, Matthew Joyce, Elizabeth Basile-

Louison, Nicholas Joyce, Amanda Koenig, Alexandria Louison, Marisa Koenig, James Louison, James Che,
