

James built his career in construction management and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his professional life. In his retirement years, he became an avid fisherman and spent many days enjoying time on the beach.
James was a loving husband to Josephine O’Kane and a devoted father to his four children: James, Joseph, Donna, and Michael. He was also a caring stepfather to Joseph and Michael, and a proud grandfather to Andrew, Lauren, Amber, Joseph, Timothy, Melinda, Melissa, Jessica, Monica, Dana, and Rebecca, along with fifteen great-grandchildren.
He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Those who knew James will remember his thoughtful nature, reliability, kindness, and quiet sense of humor.
A Mass followed by burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Church of Our Savior, located at 5301 N Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach Fl 32931. A live stream of the funeral service will be available for those unable to attend in person.
The service will be immediately followed by a celebration of James’s life at the Solana Lakes Clubhouse, located at 8891 Lake Drive, Cape Canaveral.
James will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
