On March 24, 2026, James "Jim" Peacock, 82, of Melbourne, peacefully went home to be with his Lord at the Life Care Center of Melbourne. Born in Brooksville, Florida, Jim’s family moved to Brevard County when he was five months old and he became a lifelong resident of the area.
For over 20 years, Jim was the proud owner and operator of Jim’s Auto Glass, where he was known for his skilled work and dedicated service to the Brevard County community. As a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Eau Gallie, Jim joyfully served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher for the four and five-year-old children.
Jim was a man of simple joys: he cherished the moments spent with his family, he loved to fish, especially with his grandkids, and tinker with projects. Above all, he was devoted to his beloved "Georgia Peach," his wife Diane.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Diane; son, Jim and daughter-in-law Erin, son Brian and daughter-in-law Mary; 10 grandchildren, and one granddaughter-in-law, who will always remember him as their "Papa." Jim is also survived by his brothers Ricky and Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Peacock, and his siblings Rex, Ann, Johnny, and Ronnie.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 30, at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL).
