John Barrington Burke, Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully from natural causes at his home in Cocoa Beach, FL on February 1, 2021. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he came to Brevard County in 2007 from Noblesville, IN.
He spent several decades as a Mechanical Engineer in the automotive industry. In retirement, he served as a President of the HOA at Riverview Manor. Throughout his life, John also dedicated his considerable artistic talents to restoring homes in the cities of Peterborough and Oshawa in Ontario, Canada and Nashville, TN.
John was able to achieve his lifelong dream of retiring on the Space Coast.
He is survived by his four sons, Stuart (Jennifer), Chris (Tracey), Mitch (Janice) and John, Jr. (Mary); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Kristin, Sarah, Aaron, Kevin, Katherine, Andrea, Ryan, Matthew and John “Jack” and great grandchildren, Madison, Ben, Emily, Declan, Cullen, and Delaney.
No services will be held at this time due to international travel restrictions and COVID 19. When fitting, his sons will spread their father’s ashes in the ocean at Cocoa Beach, FL, in accordance with his wishes.
