John Fatteross passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025 in West Melbourne, FL at the age of 90. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Rosalie. Dear father to John Fatteross Jr., Patricia Rogers, and Mary Ann Hughes. Loving grandfather to Holly, Shannon, Connor, Kelly, Jack and Will, and great-grandfather to Lucy and Ruby.
John was born in Teaneck, NJ and raised in South Hackensack, NJ. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he returned home and married his childhood sweetheart, Rosalie. They moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1991. He was an avid fisherman—a one-time member of the Salt Water Anglers of New Jersey—as well as a rabid fan of the New York Football Giants and the New York Mets. He was immensely proud of his Italian heritage, and enjoyed Italian music, celebrities, food and culture. Above all, he was known for his gregariousness, love of life, and generous spirit.
A private family service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL.
