

John is survived by his wife, Connie Traver, of Melbourne, Florida; his daughters Nicole, and Angela Young (Brandon), of Dallas, Texas, grandchildren Akeyla, Trajan, Megan, Jaylon, Aiden and great-grandchild Akeary. John is also survived by his brother, Thomas Traver, of Pennsylvania, his nieces and a nephew, Elizabeth Traver, Teena Traver and James Traver, of Florida, his cousins Gwynne Weber, of Pennsylvania, and Michael Snyder, of New York, his Aunt, Barb Snyder, of New York and faithful cats Bonnie and Diva. He is preceded in death by his sister, Clara Traver, of Jacksonville, Florida; his parents Everett Alexander Traver and Mary Josephine Traver.
John was born on November 9, 1961 in Albany, New York, to parents Everett Alexander Traver and Mary Josephine Traver. He graduated from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
John was a lifetime truck driver, earning Truck Master Truck Driver Training credentials. He received many awards over his 30 year driving career for safety and on-time service, including a safety award for over 3 million SAFE miles. John also served as a trainer and help numerous new drivers receive their credentials.
John was a great family man and a loving father. He married Connie Traver in Miami, Oklahoma on August 30, 1988 and the couple shared two children. The family lived in many places including New York, Florida, Washington and Texas.
John enjoyed following the stock market, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Sci-Fi movies, tinkering with carpentry and home projects. His family and friends will always remember him as an eternal optimist and enthusiast. John was not religious but had a great interest in the spiritual side of Buddhism.
John will be interred at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held at a later date. For more information, please call/text Angela Young 214-650-4053.
