Joseph Kaplet

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ruth Policicchio Kaplet. Dear father to Kristina Solid(Steve)

and Patty Cooksey(Kevin). Beloved Papa to Madisson(Ben), Silas(Hannah), John-Luke(Esther), Chloe(Noah),Claire, Emma and Clayton. Predeased by his parents Dush Kaplet and Mildred Kasonovich Kaplet, his older brother Dush Kaplet Jr, brother-in-law Gene Duff and brother-in-law Al Bishop. Surviving siblings are Dorothy Kaplet, Mary Bishop and his twin sister Joanne Duff.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy which brought him to Central Florida. This is where he met the love of his life, Ruth. After the navy Joe attended Florida State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration. While working for Ford Motor Company in Detroit, MI Joe received his M.B.A. from the University of Detroit, he returned to Merritt Island with his growing family where he began his stellar career for our National space industry with several NASA contractors, during his time there he attained several leadership roles throughout his career at KSC. As well as tending to the orange grove of our family citrus business Policicchio Groves.

He will be severely missed by his family.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955 on Monday November 28th 2022 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM followed by a celebration of life at 2:00PM.
