He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Hacker Berman; His children, Barry Berman (Carol Remensynder) and Steve Berman (Jill Gunn); Sister, Candace Berman Pigott (Gary Pigott); Sister-in-law, Wendy Hacker (Michael O'Donnell); Grandchildren, Christopher Berman (Ashley Smaling), Mathew Berman (Sofia Ellingsworth), Nicole Berman McAtee (Kevin McAtee), Delaney Berman, and Jake Berman; Great Grandchildren, Noah Berman and Jaxon McAtee, and many close friends and relatives.
He is predeceased by his two children, Michael and Tammara Berman.
Lew was a Certified Public Accountant and a world-wide traveler. His enthusiasm for life and his presence will be sorely missed.
Per his wishes, a Celebration of Life is being planned. Specifics will be shared at a later date.
