Linda Faye Howell Lester

Linda Faye Howell Lester, age 60, of Cocoa, passed away at home, Thursday, July 6, 2017. Linda was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and came to Brevard County in 1956. Linda was a life long Brevard County Resident. She was a member of River of Life Church (1890 N. Courtenay Pkwy. M.I., FL 32953)

She is predeceased by her parents Columbus L. Howell, and Barbara I. Usrey Howell; Brothers, Larry K., and Paul W. Howell; Sister, Cynthia G. Howell.

Linda is survived by Sisters, Deborah J. Howell and Cheryl L. Oliphant; Brother, Michael E. Adams; Daughters, Melanie F. Nordfors and Lisa M. Lester Wright; Grandchildren, Amanda N. Nordfors, Michael A. Nordfors, James D. Nordfors, and Tyler R. Wright; Great-Grandchildren, Aiyanna A. Grant, and Aiden D. Grant.

Our Linda grew up on South Merritt Island at 1248 Robin Drive. She attended school at Tropical Elementary, Jefferson Jr. High, and Merritt Island High School. After high school, she met Jackson Lester and got married August of 1977. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Melanie and Lisa. She loved to go fishing, camping near silver springs, and enjoyed visiting the Bok Tower Gardens, with her family. Linda and Jackie parted and went their separate ways in 1988. They were friends at the end of their journey.

She then started her own Cleaning Business, while attending Brevard Community College, and obtained her Certificate as a Nursing Assistant. Linda loved helping people, she worked as a Home Health Aid / CNA, and Volunteered at Cape Canaveral Hospital and also delivered for Meals on Wheels. She worked hard to provide a better life for her two daughters, while facing all of life's obstacles.

She loved the Lord, her Family, Friends, her Church Community, her Pastor Mark and his wife Becky Berney. We will all miss her dearly.
