Linda June Todsen, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on February 26, 2026, at the age of 72, following heart failure. From Higginsville, Missouri, Linda carried her Heartland roots throughout her life.
She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Immediately after graduation, she married her college sweetheart, Second Lieutenant Peter Todsen II, and began a loving 49-year journey together.
As the supportive spouse of a career Marine aviator, Linda supported her family across 14 different duty installations for 26 years. She made every new house a loving, warm home wherever they went, and she loved living in new places. She thrived as a stay-at-home mom, raising their two children. Her ability to create warmth, stability, and a sense of belonging wherever the Marine Corps took them was one of her greatest gifts to her family.
Following Pete’s retirement while stationed in Washington, D.C., and during his ongoing work with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon, Linda embraced a meaningful new chapter. For more than fifteen years she was a docent at the State Department’s Diplomatic Reception Rooms, where she greeted international visitors and illuminated the history and elegance of those storied spaces with her characteristic warmth and insight.
In their retirement years, Pete and Linda settled happily at Indian River Colony Club in Melbourne, Florida, where Linda cherished the companionship of like-minded spouses and friends, delighting in line dancing, yoga, and the many joyful social events throughout the years.
Linda was, above all, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Peter Todsen II; their son, Peter Todsen III (Michelle); their daughter, Karen Todsen Kehoe (John); and their two precious grandchildren, Peter Todsen IV and Melody Todsen, who will carry forward the legacy of her love, kindness, and example.
Her deepest devotion was to her Lord. Linda began each morning with Bible lessons, and her faith was easily observed—glorifying God in everything she did, putting Him first in her life, and quietly instilling that same wisdom and reverence in her family
Preceded in death by her father, Clarence Gash, her mother, Janita Deatherage, and her three brothers, Don Gash, Tommy Gash, and Everett Gash. Linda now joins them in the presence of the God she loved and served so faithfully.
Matthew 25:21- His lord said unto him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the Fabry Support and Information Group.

A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 6895 Murrell Road, Melbourne, FL. The day will conclude with a reception at 1:00 p.m. in Colony Hall at Indian River Colony Club, 1936 Freedom Drive, Melbourne, FL.
