Margie A. Harris, 74, of Kissimmee, formally of Merritt Island, entered into rest on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Margie was born on September 1, 1938 in Birmingham, AL.
She served her country by enlisting and serving in the United States Marine Corps. Margie lived and worked on Merritt Island for 39 years she retired from the Kennedy Space Center and moved to Kissimmee, where she worked in customer service for Disney. One of her favorite things to do with her husband, George, was going on cruises.
Margie is survived by her husband of 34 years, George G. Harris; her daughters, Susan Ann Greaney and Nancy Jean Joynes (Thomas); her sons, Patrick James Greaney and David G. Harris (Melissa); her sisters, Jerry Parker and Jan Holloway; her brothers, Jeff and Tony Davis; and six grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 10 - 11 am, on Wednesday, September 19, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home where a funeral service will begin in the chapel at 11 am; the interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
