Marie McKay

Marie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Sam. She was a beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother. She leaves behind her children Leighanne O’Beirne (Declan O’Beirne), Susan O’Hern (Sean O’Hern), her grandchildren Colin, Patrick, Ciara, Katie, her two nephews; Chuck Conyers, Mark Conyers and niece; Carol Conyers.

Marie was born in Brumley, MO and moved to Melbourne, FL in 2018. She secured two Masters Degrees, one in Library Science and the other in Religious Education. Her years of library work and Seminary was the preparation necessary for her chosen field of work as Librarian and appointment as a Southern Baptist Missionary in Hong Kong. She was fluent in Cantonese, was an accomplished writer with several published books and was deeply involved in church activities. Yet even with all these personal accomplishments, her greatest joy was her family.

A visitation for Marie will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM.
