Monteen Hilliard Sheppard passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Kindred Hospital at the age of 87. Monteen was born on February 27, 1937, in Melbourne, Florida, to Roma Thomas Hilliard and Lena Lane Hilliard. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Winston Delano Sheppard, both of her parents, three brothers—Raymond, Clyde, and James Hilliard—and one grandchild, Amy.
She was a beloved mother to her son, Rick of Keystone Heights, FL, and daughter, Tammy of Melbourne, FL. She was also a beloved Grannie to her grandchildren: Ashley (spouse Robert) of Melbourne, FL; Matthew (spouse Eileen) of St. Augustine, FL; and Amber of Melbourne, FL. She was also a beloved Gran Gran to her great-grandchildren: Connor (spouse Amber), Sadie, Charlise, Hunter, Mason, and Damon.
Monteen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private graveside burial for immediate family members.
