Natalie C. Benson

Natalie Hamilton McKinney Benson was born in Brooklyn, New York to loving parents, John and Olga Hamilton on February 21, 1931. She passed away peacefully at Rockledge Memorial Hospital in Rockledge, Florida on August 5, 2023.

Natalie went to P.S. #44 in Brooklyn, graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School then went to Brooklyn College. She married her first love, Isaac McKinney and from that union came 4 children; Isaac, Jr., Rhoda, Lydia and Philip. They attended Good Tidings Gospel Chapel in Brooklyn, New York for many years.

She and Isaac moved to Florida due to health reasons, there they attended First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. After the passing on Isaac, she married Bill Benson in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2005, they attended the Bethany Bible Chapel in Satellite Beach, Florida. They also attended Eternal Life Fellowship Church.

Natalie was a volunteer teacher with the school Head Start program, she was a key punch operator in the data entry department for Atlantic Appliances. She was a top sales associate with AT&T in new Jersey and Florida, where she retired.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, her first husband, Isaac McKinney; her son, Philip and second husband, Bill Benson. She will belovingly remembered by her children and daughter in law, Trudy McKinney; her grandchildren, Krystal, Kristina and Philip, Jr.; great grandchildren, Jacob, Cheyanne and Daniel; her sister, Rose (Palmer); brother, Ayinde (Becky); nieces, Deidre Scales and Akosua Afiba; nephew, Richard (Cindy) Scales, other relatives and precious friends.

A visitation for Natalie will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Natalie will be laid to rest in Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.
