

She was born in Cambridge, Maryland and lived in Melbourne for many years. She was a member of the Suntree Country Club. She was an avid golfer that took pride in her many golfing achievements and awards. Norma enjoyed gardening, entertaining and planning social events. She worked as a secretary for Brevard Community College’s Fine Arts Division. Norma loved traveling to destinations such as Australia, The Holy Land, and Europe.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel E. and Lucy Naomi Trego; husbands’ Harry E. Holmes, Joseph Z. Taylor and Robert J. Mortimer; sister, Dorothy Ashe and Brothers; Robert, Samuel Jr., and William Trego. Norma is survived by her sisters; Peggy Keithly, Joan Boone, Sonnia Chambers, and brother Larry Trego; her sons David S. Holmes and his wife Cindy L. Holmes, Gregory T. Holmes and his wife Sheila C. Holmes and daughter, Deborah L. Tyler and her fiancé Robert LeBlanc; 6 grandchidren; David Scott Jr. and wife Kristina, Michelle Grizzle and husband Steven, Lindsay Dean and husband Ryan, Bryan Holmes, Dylan Holmes, Jennifer Wardwell and husband Chris, and 9 great-grandchildren; Alexis and Kaden Kowalczik, Morgan Tinsley, Taylor, Bryson, and Bearett Grizzle, Hunter Wardwell, Aiden and Owen Dean.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Ascension Catholic Church, Melbourne, Florida, Friday, September 25, 2020, at 1:00 pm.
