

Paul Smith Isbell (Pop-Pop), beloved husband, father, and grandfather joined his heavenly father just short of his 85th birthday surrounded by family and clergy on July 20, 2015 in Rockledge, FL. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Olivia Ann Isbell of Rockledge FL, his son, Paul William Isbell of Cocoa Beach, FL, and his two grandsons, Hunter Isbell of Delray Beach, FL and Zachary Isbell of Cocoa Beach, FL. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathleen Saylor of York, SC, Ruth Dawson of Pearland, TX, and Ann Scott of Brentwood, TN.
Paul was the 7th of 9 children born to James Franklin Isbell and Enzena Isbell in Huntland, TN on July 29, 1930. He served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard ship and in Kodiak, AK. After the service Paul worked as a Aircraft Foreman at the Norfolk Navel Air Station, Navel Air Rework Facility until he retired in 1984. He was a member of Westwood Hill Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA and Deep Creek Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. In 1984 the family moved to Brooksville, FL, where worked as a commercial electrician for Borrell Electric in Tampa, FL. He was a member of Brooksville Baptist Church in Brooksville, FL. He and his wife Olivia Ann moved to King George, Virginia in 2004 and was a member of Spotswood Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA. The family relocated to Rockledge, FL in 2014 to spend time with his grandsons, his son Paul, his daughter-in-law Carolyn Isbell, and the ducks in his backyard pond.
Paul enjoyed gardening, horses, traveling and building.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 12:30pm at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL.
