On June 23, 2021, Ray Plymale, Jr. cherished husband, father, and Papa was called home by the Lord. Ray was born in Cabell County, West Virginia on May 17, 1929, and peacefully passed at the age of 92.
He was survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Nelda; four children Michael, Sheila, Kimberly, and Timothy; 15 grand and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Virginia Mae.
Ray honorably served four years in the U.S. Air Force and fought in the Korean War. He was most proud of the 19 years he worked for the United States Postal Service. As a dignified member of the Harbor City Masonic Lodge #318 for over 70 years he reached the status of Master Mason. He was a very accomplished woodworker and enjoyed crafting for his family, everything from rocking horses for the kids to kitchen cabinets for his wife.
He will be greatly missed by many, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with his parents. We know he will have the best seat in the house and a workshop in heaven.
