Reginald W. Passley

On February 3, 2025, God, in His infinite power and wisdom, called home to Glory one of His most devoted servants, Mr. Reginald W. Passley, Sr. He was 98 years old and is now resting in the eternal peace of the Lord, surrounded by the love and grace that he gave so freely during his life.

Reginald was born on January 17, 1927, in Fairy Hill, Portland Jamaica, to the late Mr. Cecil and Adina Passley. He was one of three children.

Reginald traveled to the US and Canada as seasonal worked as a contract farmworker from 1960 to 1968. Then he came to America permanently in 1969. He settled in Englewood, NJ. He worked as a janitor supervisor in the Tenafly, NJ school district for 20 years. Then in 1989 he and his wife retired to Palm Bay, FL.

Reginald was a true man of God. He loved to serve our Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy in Englewood, NJ. Once he retired, he was one of the founding members of The Overcomer Church of Church of God of Prophecy in Melbourne. He served as a dedicated musician at the church.

On September 18, 1961, Reginald was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Rosetta Elizabeth Minnott. Reginald was blessed with six children.

Reginald’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, Earl Passley, Margaret “Marva” Frances, Marcia Fisher, Eleen “Debbie” R. Aiken, Reginald W. Passley, Jr (Lettitia) and Lisa E. Passley.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Adassa (Passley) Brown and Bernice¢ Passley. A host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. They will forever cherish his memory.

A visitation for Reginald will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Overcomer Church, 4350 Aurora Road, Melbourne, Florida. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 4350 Aurora Road, Melbourne, Florida. A committal service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.
