

Richard Ira Lipman, 73, of Cocoa, FL formerly of Boca Raton, FL passed away December 23, 2018 in Melbourne, FL. Born April 2, 1945 in New York City, NY, the son of Harold and Jeanette Lipman. Richard grew up in Great Neck, NY on Long Island along with his sister, Mimi Lipman Spitz.
On July 14, 1971, Richard joined the U.S. Army where he began his dental career by way of joining the Medical Corps as a dentist. During Richard’s service he would earn the rank of captain and be awarded a National Defense Service Medal. In June of 1973 Richard would leave the Dental Corps and be assigned to the U.S. Army reserves.
Eventually Richard would leave his life in the service behind in order to follow his dreams and open his own dental practice in South Florida and open his first dental office in Hallandale, FL, which he would then extend to Tamarac, FL and eventually on to Boca Raton, FL. In all, Richard served the dental needs of his patients for over 40 years.
Richard Lipman was a loving brother, father, grandfather and father in-law. He is survived by his only sister, Mimi Spitz; his two daughters, Stephanie Kravitz and Jennifer Gardner; grandson, Devin Gardner; two granddaughters, Emma Gardner and Jordan Gardner and son in-law, Joseph Kravitz.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00am at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
