

He is survived by his sons, Gary S., wife Jean, Cocoa Beach, FL, Stephen A., wife Susan, Melbourne, FL.; daughter, Kim M. Rosch, husband Gary, Phoenix, MD.; grandson, Andrew J. Krupinski, Stuart, FL; brother, Kenneth, Red Lion, PA; sister, Mary Ann Linnehan, Morganville, NJ; as well as sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his wife, the former Constance P. Petroski, and his brother, Ronald.
Born in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of the late Stephen R. and Emily A. (Zygmund) Krupinski. Relocating to Pennsylvania with his family as a young man, he graduated from E.L. Meyers High School, and later, Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Following his college graduation, and completion of Naval Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Navy Reserve. He served faithfully a total of 28 years, attaining the rank of Commander. Steven’s many duty stations included service aboard the Destroyer Escort USS BLAIR, and the submarine tender USS EMORY S. LAND, as well as various Navy ports up and down the US east coast from Key West, FL to Newport, RI. For service during the time of armed conflict (The Korean War), he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. During his professional civilian career, Mr. Krupinski was employed by the former Burroughs Corporation (known today as Unisys Corp), initially in the sales of business machines but later becoming instrumental in promoting the innovative use of early computers in the banking and business industries. Prior to relocating from New Jersey to Florida following his wife’s passing in 2010, Steven sold real estate as a licensed agent in N.J. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and the Destroyer Escort Sailor’s Association. Both before and after his professional retirement, Steven and his wife traveled throughout the world visiting every continent, except for Antarctica.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL, at 11AM.
