Steven Lee Mincey

Steven Lee Mincey (Steve), was born on April 15, 1959, to Tommy Joe and Mavis Mincey in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the middle born of three brothers. Steve lived in Tennessee until his family moved to Melbourne, Florida when he was four years old.

Growing up in Sherwood Forest, Steve graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1977 where he lettered in varsity “wrastlin’.” After high school, Steve began his destined career of becoming a salesman.

Steve spent his adult life working in sales for companies such as Middleton Pest Control, Kelly Ford, Wooten Ford and Prestige Volkswagen as well as other dealerships.

In 1994, he met his former spouse, Kelly Mincey (Dickerson) and lovingly took on the fatherly roll to her daughter, Brandi. Their son, Brody was born in 1995 and they spent their time together in Rockledge, Florida.

Later in Steve’s life, due to health concerns, he moved into an assisted living center. There, he spent his days watching Tennessee football, entertaining the staff with jokes and loving being a Grandpa.

He is survived by his children, Thomas Brody Mincey and Brandi Montes; granddaughters, Autumn Holtz and Jolene Mincey; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

A visitation gathering for Steven will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
