A native of Wellesley Hills, MA she was the daughter of the late John Charteris Thompson and Ida Lawver Thompson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Dreher Schenck.
Mrs. Schenck was an alumna of WCUNC of Greensboro, NC Class of 1950.
Surviving are her husband, L. Virgil Schenck, Jr.; sons: John L.T. Schenck, Jay G.M. Schenck, and L. Virgil Schenck, IV; brother, John Charteris Thompson, Jr.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The past service this Sunday, June 26, 2016, at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Bryson City, NC was dedicated in memory of Mrs. Schenck.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 7200 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL.
