Warren Eugene Moody, 88, entered into the presence of his Savior on August 15, 2025, at 8:04 PM, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 8, 1936, Warren’s life was defined by service to his country and dedication to his family. Warren was married to his beloved first wife, Carol, for 43 years. Together, they raised four sons. Warren is not only survived by his four sons but also by three of their wives, along with multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At a young age, Warren answered the call to serve. He began his military career in the United States Marine Corps, where he served faithfully for three years. Following this, he joined the United States Air Force, dedicating the next 26 years to a distinguished career. Through discipline, excellence, and leadership, he rose to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force. Warren was known as a leader of men, respected by those under his command and admired as a mentor who demanded excellence while extending compassion.
During his service, Warren traveled the world multiple times and served in three wars so that others might enjoy the freedoms we cherish today. He deployed five times, each for a year in duration, sacrificing both his time and the time of his family. Right up until the end, Warren often said he would gladly do it again without hesitation.
After Carol’s passing, Warren married Mable Moody, who were married over 20 years. With Mable came a loving expanded family of three adult sons and two adult daughters, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Outside of military life, Warren enjoyed woodworking and built a personal library of more than 3,000 books. Confident in his salvation, he lived by the promise that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8, NIV).
His service will be held at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. US 1 in Rockledge, FL on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00PM.
