Brian, the son of Adele and Walter, was born on April 6, 1962 in Washington, DC. He had an older brother, Michael, and a younger sister, Sharon. He attended schools from elementary to high school in Maryland. He began college at Auburn in Alabama and graduated from Towson with a major in Political Science and minor in Criminal Justice. After college he dated Brenda Jacobs, daughter of Sandra and Donald Jacobs, and they were soon married to the joy of both families. Brian gained another brother, Peter and a sister, Shelley, as a result. Brian was a loved nephew, uncle, and cousin to both families.
While in High School, Brian, as well as Michael, became involved in DeMolay, a youth group for young men sponsored by the Masonic Bodies. Brian loved the organization and made many good friends. He became the Jurisdictional Master Counselor for the District of Columbia and was very, very proud of his achievements in this organization. While he joined the Masons, he was not able to become too active due to college and family obligations. Brian also served in the Naval Reserve and was proud of his service to his country.
He began his love for the Judicial System by first working in the State Bankruptcy Court in Charleston, South Carolina and later transferred to the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Maryland. When an opportunity arose to accept a position in the Federal Probation Service in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a dream come true.
He and Brenda packed up everything and moved across the country. He loved his job and gave it 125%. He made an impact with many of his clients and co-workers during his fourteen years as a Probation Office.
Almost seven years ago, the telephone rang. Brian and Brenda were told that there was a little girl who needed a Daddy and Mommy to love her. The most important person in their lives, Rebecca Rose “Becca” came home with them several days later.
Brian was a warm, stubborn, hard-headed sarcastic, generous, and caring person who was loved by his family, and friends, and will be missed greatly.
