

Carol Anne Sweet, 82, left the world peacefully on March 23, 2026 in Rogers, AR. She was born in Memphis, TN to Nathan Jasper Cottle and Agnes Anne Walsh Cottle of Memphis, TN. Carol married Charles Barth Sweet on January 25, 1962 in Desoto, MS. She will now spend eternal life with the three of them.
Carol leaves behind a daughter, Stephanie May, and a son, Scott Sweet (wife Melissa); grandchildren Katie Stiltner (husband Jason), Amy May, Mac May, Ian May, Amelia Dahlem (husband Nate); and great grandchildren Judah, Emery, Oliver, Jonah, Lilli and Adley. Carol adored her family, they were the pride and joy of her life, and she always cherished the time they spent together.
Carol spent many years in the real estate and property management field, a profession she truly loved and to which she dedicated her career. She worked with Taylor Barbee & Associates, HM Heckle & Associates and Methodist Le Bonhoeffer Healthcare, where she served in the Real Estate and Property Management Division.
Carol was an Affiliate Real Estate Broker and earned the respected Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through the National Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She was active in the local IREM Memphis Chapter 20 serving as their Chapter President and was honored as Outstanding Property Manager of the Year in recognition of her professionalism, leadership and dedication to the field. In 1992, she became a faculty instructor for IREM and taught courses both in Memphis and in other cities, as well as online, helping educate and mentor future property management professionals. She was part of the “Dynamic Duo” IREM faculty instructors.
She was passionate and dedicated to both her family and her profession. She approached life with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
After retiring in 2020, Carol moved to Northwest AR to be closer to her family. She immersed herself in the community by volunteering at Bentonville Public Library and Mercy Hospital. She looked forward each week to helping others; she was well liked and respected by all those she came in contact with.
She will be remembered for her professionalism, her leadership, her kindness and her unwavering dedication to the people and the work she cared so deeply about. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and the many people whose lives she influenced throughout her career and life.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Carol at the Marriott Courtyard, 4640 Merchants Park Circle, Collierville, TN, 38017 on Saturday, April 4th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. At a later time, we will also have a small Celebration of Life in Pea Ridge, AR.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Carol’s honor to St. Jude Children’s hospital in Memphis, TN.
