Catherine was raised in the Mennonite brethren, growing up a devout member of their faith. After graduating high school, she attended Hesston College in Kansas. Catherine served as the president of the women’s ministry in California for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books, and she also spent every moment that she could with her grandchildren.
She was married to Raymond Yoder in Colorado Springs, and they were happily married for 39 years. After his passing, she later remarried to “Wally” Wallace, and they were together for 18 years.
