Danny J. Morey

Danny was born October 3, 1930 in Chicago, IL to the late Julius and Glenda (Haven) Morey.

Danny was a career Air Force pilot, serving in Europe and here in the states. After retiring from the Air Force in 1970, he moved his family to Rogers and opened Morey’s Flying Service at Bentonville Airport, where he gave flying lessons for nearly 20 years.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Glenda; and two brothers, Joseph A. Morey and George E. Morey.

Survivors include his loving wife Kathryn, of the home; two sons, Andrew J. Morey and his wife Kathy of Jamison, PA and Kenneth A. Morey of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Pamela Miller of Rogers; three brothers, Alexander S. Morey of South Bend, IN, James N. Morey of Middlebrook, MO, and Lloyd Morey of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Barbara I. Thompson of Naperville, IL; and five grandsons, Chad Miller, Corey Miller, Collin Miller, Carson Morey, and Austin Morey.

Services for Danny will be 11am Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the 1st United Methodist Church in Rogers with entombment to follow at Rogers City Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be the night before, Monday, February 15 from 5-7pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Danny’s name to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
