

Darrell Dean Wallingford, 79, of Siloam Springs went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 2, 1936 in Mound Valley, Kansas to the late Earl and Beatrice Hite Wallingford.
He attended school in Altamont, Kansas before transferring to Independence (KS) Bible School where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class. He continued his education at Independence Junior College before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Science from Kansas State University and Masters from Colorado College. While working for Marquardt Aircraft, he met and then married Donna Madden, the love of his life. During his career in education he taught at Independence (KS) Bible School, Independence (KS) High School and Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, KS. For more than 26 years he and his wife also sold residential real estate before retiring to Northwest Arkansas.
Darrell was a member of Rogers First Church of the Nazarene and faithful to all of his churches through the years, serving on church boards, teaching Sunday School and singing in choir.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Eldon Wallingford and a grandson, Dustin Chamberlain. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 52 years, Donna Madden Wallingford; 2 daughters, Deondra and her husband, Don Chamberlain of Siloam Springs and Diane Spear and her husband, Rocky Spear, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Brant, and wife, Akrisa Spear and Byron Spear; 2 granddaughters, Danae Chamberlain and Brandi Spear; 2 sisters, Margaret (Ken) Vowell and Lela Mae Ware, both of Troy, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, October 10 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. The Funeral will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Rogers First Church of the Nazarene with interment at 2:00pm in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
