David Walter Strey

Dave was a quiet man who always put family first. He raised 7 children who never realized the financial strain that caused. He was a doting husband whose wives never had any doubt of his love for them. He had a passion of model trains which he eagerly shared with his children, grand children and great-grandchildren. He was a man of deep faith that would help wherever he saw a need. He did it all with love and humor, and loved to invent dad jokes. Dave was an only child of a farming couple and now leaves behind an amazing legacy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Greg Strey and daughter, Susan Swayne, wives, Catherine (Springer) Strey, Ibby Strey, Jan Adair Strey

David is survived by his son, David Strey, Jr.; daughters, Karen Wilson of Houston, Gail Hernandez of Pea Ridge, Lisa Cox of Florida, and Virginia Griffin of Chicago; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

His memorial service will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11am in Bella Vista Community Church. Online condolences, www.rollinsfuneral.com.
