Debra Jean Huey, 64, of Rogers passed away Friday, March 3, 2023. She was born June 16, 1958 in Lakin, Kansas to the late Arthur Gene Coghill and Imogene Murphy Coghill. For many years, Debra worked as a secretary for public schools in Kansas, for the Kansas Highway Patrol and the University of Arkansas. She enjoyed singing in her church choir, crafting, playing Native American flutes with her flute circle, her garden and book clubs. Her greatest joys were watching her grandchildren’s programs and sports events. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers. Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 45 years, James Huey; her daughters, Sarah (Vince) Guerrero and Erin (Adam) DeWitt, both of Bentonville; her son, Michael (Carissa) Huey of Rogers; her sister, Diane (Andy) Clower of Salina, Kansas; her brother, Richard (Regina) Coghill of Garden City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; numerous extended family members and dear friends. Visitation will be from 2-4:00pm, Sunday, March 12, 2023 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Her Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am, Monday, March 13, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Rogers- Olive Street Campus. Interment will follow at 1:30pm in Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
