

Ellen graduated from Rogers High School in 1958, where she played basketball and maintained lasting ties to her classmates by attending many high school reunions.
In 1958, Ellen married the love of her life, Paul Dale Mather. They shared 40 years of marriage.
Ellen and Paul were self-employed and built their livelihood through years of hard work and perseverance. Together they started Bentonville Glass in 1971, Sunshine Frozen Yogurt, Jan's Style Shop, and Northridge Emu Farm.
A faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ellen’s life was grounded in her love for Jesus, and her salvation was incredibly important to her. She participated in the senior church group and ladies prayer group, and she carried a steady kindness into the lives of those around her. Ellen kept a prayer journal and regularly prayed for everyone, offering care in the most sincere and personal way she knew.
Ellen also found joy in traveling and spending time with family. She was also a devoted Razorback fan who cheered on the Hogs in every sport.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Jan Mather Hutson; grandchildren, Bailee Roughton (Tyler) of the home and Tandel Blood (Matthew); Keiffer Hutson (Ashtin); seven great-grandchildren, Maddux, Mason, Mavric, Tatum, Trace, Millie, and Kade; and her brother, Cleve Branscum (Barbara).
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Paul Mather; her son, Gegatie Mather; her daughter, Tandee Mather; and her parents, Earl and Mae Branscum.
