Ervin Lee Huckaby (“Huck”), of Jane, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on December 5, 1953, in Rogers, AR., and grew up in War Eagle and Lowell, AR.
Ervin worked as a supervisor at Cargill until his retirement. He was actively involved in family life, small farming, and fishing, and he loved to piddle.
Ervin and his wife, Tammy, enjoyed many years on the farm they built together in Missouri, raising Beefmaster cattle and many small farm animals, gardening, and working on the tractor. Some of Ervin’s favorite activities included sitting on the porch with his wife and enjoying music, relaxing around a fire while watching the moon and stars, or fishing along the banks of War Eagle for catfish. No matter what he was doing, he always had a hot cup of coffee in hand. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always their biggest supporter. He enjoyed the simple things in life and made sure those close to him knew his love, and he always wanted to make people laugh.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lois and Elgene Huckaby; and is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tammy Huckaby; brother, Wayne Huckaby; children, Anthony (Amy) Leal, Michelle Huckaby, and Chad (Hailey) Huckaby; and grandchildren, Reed, Hannah, Jeremiah, Skylar, Rachel, Alex, Major, Eve, and Aiden.
