Ina’s life was one defined by her unconditional love and unwavering commitment to her family. She married her loving husband, Larry “Jim” Easter, on August 29, 1969, and together they shared 56 beautiful years side by side.
Ina completed 9th grade at Marshall and later went on to earn her G.E.D while raising her family and working full-time. She held various service jobs throughout her life including working in the poultry industry, manufacturing, childcare, and food services in the Rogers School District. Her most fulfilling role, however, was that of wife, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She treasured the simplicities of life because she knew they were, in fact, the big things. She rarely missed a game for one of her grandkids, a school event, an important milestone at church or the opportunity to brag about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially beans and cornbread. She drank her coffee with “just a little bit of milk or cream” and always had a warm cup for guests. When she wasn’t visiting with family, she was probably enjoying a glass of coke, handwriting a letter to someone, watching The Andy Griffith Show, playing a round or two of candy crush, or tending to her flea market booth.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Margie Reid, two brothers, Charles and JW Mize, and 3 great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jim Easter; their three children, Karen Hall (Jimmy) of Pea Ridge, Scotty Easter (Kim) of Garfield, and Alisha Gilbride (Andy) of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren: John Hall (Brandi), Lexi Hall, Prissy Cheney (Josh), Matthew Easter (Krysten), Tyler Easter (Nacona), Kevin Easter (Brieann), Drew Gilbride, and Izzy Gilbride; 12 great grandchildren; her siblings, Willa Mullins (Herman), Earl Mize (Darlene), Paul Mize (Ruth), and Marion Mize (Della); and a multitude of extended family and friends.
