James Allen Taylor Sr.

James Allen Taylor Sr, died peacefully on January 18, 2023 at his residence. He was only 57 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden unexpected death. James was born November 6, 1965 in Rogers, Arkansas to Kathy and Buck Taylor. After graduation from Rogers High School in 1983, he held several jobs in the delivery Industry. James is survived by his mother, Katherine Ashley; step-father, Kenneth Ashley; father, Harold Taylor and step-mother, Carolyne Taylor. Two children, Tara Taylor and James (Jay) Taylor Jr; five grandchildren, Devan, Skylar, Jordan, Adyson and Aceson; three sisters; five brothers; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. James was known by many as “Pops” or simply “Papa James”. He never met a stranger and loved people. James attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Rogers. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. His memory lives on through his friends and family. James' life will be honored with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 24th at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
