Janet S Russell

Janet Sue Russell, 61, of Rogers passed away October 11, 2013. She was born August 16, 1952 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Donald and Shirley Green. Janet moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2008, from San Antonio, Texas where she worked for the Express Newspaper for 17 years. She joined the Benchmark Group in Rogers soon after moving from Texas, and continued working there until June of this year.

A very strong and independent woman, Janet became a single parent after the death of her husband. She devoted all of her time, energy and financial means to the support of her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She also believed in helping others and was a lifetime supporter of the United Way. Her family would like to thank both the Express News and Benchmark Group for welcoming her into the company's "family”; it was at her places of employment where she met many of her closest friends and supporters. She loved you all and considered you her 2nd family.

Survivors include daughters, Cynthia K. Russell and Tara Green; mother, Shirley Eriksen; brothers Michael Green, Alan Green, David Green (Kathie); sister Cheryl Hicks (Tim), and grandchildren, Alfredo Jaramillo Jr. (currently active duty in the US Navy), Stephen Menchaca Jr. and Monica Justice (James).

Janet is preceded in death by husband Jerry Jay Russell; father Donald Green; sister Nancy Green; and step-father Ralph Eriksen.

Visitation will be Noon to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Arkansas.
