Moritz "Md" Hoover

MD was born February 1, 1919 in Chickasha, OK to the late Dave and Pearl Ida (Schwabe) Hoover.

MD was very proud of his service in the Army during WWII, and he spent his free time volunteering with the American Legion post 100 in Bentonville, and working with the local DAV. He also loved to hunt and fish and woodworking projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry Hoover and one infant brother; and two sisters, Kathryn Goodwin and Lula McGraw.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66years, Mary Beth (Leus) Hoover, of the home; one son, Merle David Hoover of Schulter, OK; one daughter, Marsha Tholen of Bentonville; one sister, Frieda Sheridan of Chickasha, OK; five grandchildren, Cathy Baker of Bentonville, Amy Johnson of Bentonville, Ann McMillan and her husband Vance of Paola, KS, Chris Hoover of Abilene, TX, and Jonathan Hoover of Tulsa, OK; 11 great grandchildren; and one step great great grandchild.

Graveside services for MD will be 2pm Monday, October 4th at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, September 30, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
