

Nancy Jane Lenihan, 79, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on March 26, 2014 in Missouri. She was born on May 10, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Leon J. and Marie (Simodynes) Cherny. She was the loving wife of Donn C. Lenihan.
She grew up in North Bend, Nebraska. Nancy attended Midland College and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where she earned her teaching degree.
Nancy married Donn on June 25, 1955 in North Bend and enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.
She worked as a teacher for rural schools in Saunders County, Nebraska and North Bend, Nebraska. She was a nurse’s aide, co-owned a craft store, owned “Gypsy Fair” clothing store in Rogers, Arkansas, and worked for Glad Manufacturing. She was a real entrepreneur and enjoyed experiencing life.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with family and playing bridge. She was a member of PEO, a Girl Scout and 4-H leader, and was on the City Council in Logan, Iowa.
Nancy is survived by her husband of Rogers; four daughters, Kim (Kent) Myers of Bentonville, Kristy (Doug) Mitchell, of Oklahoma, Diane (Steve) McNabb of Missouri, Denise (Jim) Wiseman of Oklahoma; sister, Carol Asche, of California; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joan Hall and Marjorie Spomer; and grandson, Caleb Hicks.
The family is having a private service at a later date.
