At only five weeks old, Peggy's mother passed away, and she was raised by her older siblings. Growing up, her family worked for Vanzant fruit farms, and Peggy learned early the value of honest work—picking cotton and strawberries with her family. She attended school at the old schoolhouse in Rogers, and after attending school, she was married at the age of sixteen to her first husband. From that marriage, she became the proud mother of two sons, Joe and Jason Norman.
Over the years, Peggy worked many jobs, including positions with Walmart and Tyson. Her most recent work was especially meaningful to her: serving as a caregiver at Autumn Place nursing home, where her kindness and warmth made a difference in the lives of others.
In 2001, Peggy married her husband, Kirk Foster. They spent many happy years together, building a blended family that Peggy embraced wholeheartedly- loving everyone all the same.
In her quieter moments, Peggy enjoyed quilting and sewing, creating with her hands and heart. She also loved to relax and try new cocktail recipes with Kirk, sharing simple joys, laughter, and companionship.
Peggy is preceded in death by: parents, Thomas Haskel and Nora Hazel (Walker); and siblings, Mary McGarrah, Edna Mellow, Cecil Alverson, Autry Payne, Troy Alverson, Richard Alverson, Thomas Alverson, and M.D. Alverson.
Peggy is survived by: husband, Kirk Foster; sons, Joe Norman and Jason Norman; step-daughters, Rachel Ingram, Krystle Sawyer, and Brenna Foster; sisters, Hazel Duncan and Barbara Bell; grandchildren, Jodee Rodgers, Clay Norman, Chance Norman, Colby Norman, Gavin Ingram, Bentley Ingram, Eliza Sawyer, and Harley Foster. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
