Raymond R. Newman, Sr., 83, died May 24, 2014 in Rogers. He was born on February 26, 1931 in Gillsburg, Mississippi to the late Euel and Alene (Yarborough) Newman. He was the husband of Louise (Broussard) Newman.
He retired from the Bentonville School district, after having worked in maintenance and driving school buses.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise of Rogers; daughter Debbie Myers and husband Randy of Rogers; son, Rusty Newman and wife, Dana of Bentonville; 4 grandchildren, Danessa Bengs, Cory Myers, Dustin Ray Newman, and Casey Myers.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie Newman.
His funeral service will be held Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10am in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, from 5 until 7pm in the chapel.
