Nearly 15 to 20 years ago, my father, my grandfather, and I spent a full day together at White Rock, a place Rick knew well, on our dirt bikes. We rode until we were tired, stopping at jumping swimming holes and sharing sandwiches for lunch, not loading the bikes back into the truck until the sun was setting. It was one of those days you don’t realize will stay with you forever.

My grandfather was the true definition of a man. He taught me how to grow into one not through words, but by example. Whether we were fishing, riding, shooting, or just shooting the breeze, he showed me what truly mattered.

He will forever be one of the greatest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I will always look up to him, love him, and do everything I can to live in a way that would make him proud.

Losing Ricky was like losing a father all over again. Like many, I’m truly going to miss him every day. I’ve never cried over a loss of a coworker, but he was more than that to me and others. He impacted people and it shows. We were very VERY lucky at Landers to have Ricky be part of our work family and part of our lives. He was always the first one to come in and say good morning with a smile, a warm hug and stories about his bike rides. An absolute honor to have met him and will always be thought of and missed.

Thank you so much for being an amazing father to me, an amazing husband to my mother, grandfather to my son and a true role model to all. First to take me fishing, and teach me how to be a man. I’m gonna miss working on the house with you, seeing you on the car lot, every time I see you you punchin me playfully or yanking on my sisters pony tail lol you’re smile and laugh will forever happily  be burned into my memory. The picture is from Fayetteville autopark and is a happy memory of me bc you was a hard worker but still a family man, and would leave food for me in the fridge in this office for me on the nights I did security. Forever loved and missed but never forgotten!

Ricky was a constant influence in my career for 20 years in the car business in NWA. From taking a risk on an immature kid to helping me through my first management job, Ricky was a great boss and friend. Ricky and I would often take trips to auctions together, maybe making a short pit stop to abuse some one armed bandits. Ricky taught me about life, cars, auctions, family, priorities, and plenty more. I could always count on an honest answer, even if he knew I didn’t want to hear it. I will miss my friend, but I am thankful God placed him in my life. Ricky will be missed, and there won’t ever be another one like him.

What a great guy! We worked together for a few months at Landers Toyota in Rogers. Ricky was always smiling and very approachable. He was truly a genuinely kind man and always cared about people. He never met a stranger and loved cycling. He always conveyed a huge heart for his family and friends. Ricky will truly be missed by all who came into n contact with him.

I will forever miss you and the decades of love ,fun and challenges we had. You’re my whole world and always will be. I miss you so much my sweet, sweet husband.
