

Robert Byron Anderson, 93, of Bentonville passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born in Belton, Missouri to the late John Byron Anderson and Veda Mae Bidwell Anderson. He was also preceded by his sisters, Nancy Davis, Sandra Hosley, and his brother, Clyde Anderson. Following graduation from high school, he attended Baker University Kansas. Enlisted and proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict, which included graduating from USAF School of Aviation Medicine. While stationed at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota he attended a dance and met the love of his life! He and Patricia Ann “Patt” Lowe soon married and began their 69 year marriage.
Mr. Anderson began a long career in pharmaceutical and medical supply sales where he earned the respect and trust of his clients. After retirement, which he quipped was “Graduation”, he was employed by Fuji Film and later working into his 80’s, known as Builder Bob at Walmart. Not only a devoted husband, he was a dedicated father who provided well for his family. Robert loved God and was a member of St. Bernard parish in Bella Vista. Bob excelled on basketball and tennis courts. He was an avid St. Johns University, MN, basketball/football fan. He fished Minnesota lakes, Canadian Northwest Territories and fished for salmon on Great Lake Michigan. He loved flowers, butterflies and talking to trees, two lines from a favorite poem “Trees” by Joyce Kilmer – “I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.” Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia; his daughters, Mari Anderson, Muriel (Mark) Spychala, Michol (Jack) Pogue, and sons, Mark Anderson and Marshall Drew (Yvonne) Anderson and; several grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members; clients and dear friends. A Memorial Service, with Full Military Honors, will begin at 1:30pm, Friday, August 25, 2023 at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
