A heavy equipment operator most of his life, he followed in his father’s footsteps driving 18 wheelers and working road construction. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back to help you out. A jack of all trades but a master of none, if he couldn’t fix it, he knew somebody that could. With the most contagious laughter, he’d make you feel like family within 5 minutes of meeting him. He was a role model for many and set a standard of hard work and sweat equity. The most loving man you’d ever meet, he will be missed and never forgotten.
Stanley is preceded in death by his father, Otis Drain.
He is survived by wife, Terry Drain of Lowell; sons, Andrew Drain and Matthew Drain of Northwest Arkansas; mother, Florence Drain; brothers, Stephen Drain and Sterman Drain of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Taylor Drain, Alex Drain, and June Drain. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at Rollins Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. A private family graveside service will be held the following Wednesday at 10:00am at Benton County Memorial Park.
