

Sue Taylor was born February 19, 1945 in Harrison, AR to Ace and Mabel Ferguson. She moved to Wichita, KS when she was a young child. She met her husband, Mac Taylor, at a church service at Westside Free Will Baptist Church in 1960. They were married November 30, 1962. After living in Wichita for several years they moved back to Arkansas, residing in Bentonville since 1967. She was employed with the Bentonville Public Schools from 1874-1990 when she retired to start her new career of being a grandmother. She returned to the work force part-time in 1995 where she worked for American Greetings.
From 1968 to 1977 she was a member of the gospel singing group “The Christianaires” and traveled all over the United States. Sue was also a charter member of the Bentonville Free Will Baptist Church which was founded by her father.
Sue me her Savior that she faithfully worshiped and served on March 30, 2011. She joins her father, Ace Ferguson, son Mac Taylor Jr, son Clinton Wade Taylor, sister Charlene Weins and several other family and friends for a heavenly celebration.
She is survived by her mother, Mabel Ferguson of Bentonville; husband Mac Taylor of Bentonville; son Heath Taylor and wife Vicki of Bentonville; daughter Shawn Rankin and husband Eric of Bentonville; grandchildren Taren Rankin and fiancé Cody Mulanax, Trevor Taylor and fiancé Susan Elwood, Tanner Rankin, Heather Taylor, and TaShawna Rankin, all of Bentonville; brothers Virgil Ferguson and wife Maizie of Centerton and JC Ferguson and wife Lois of Hot Springs; sister Jo Baldridge and husband Leroy of Centerton; and brother-in-law Gerald Weins of Bentonville. She will be greatly missed by her many nephews and nieces as well as a multitude of friends.
Services for Sue will be 1pm Monday, April 4, 2011 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with a visitation preceding the service from 11-1. Burial will follow at Bentonville City Cemetery.
