Obeda passed away on March 24, 2022, peacefully, at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Carlos Pruitt; parents, Robert and Arvilla Maxey; siblings, Pearl Massey, Dewey Maxey, Genita Smith, Clifton Maxey and great-granddaughter, Ashton Rae Pruitt.
She is survived by her two children, Brenda McCrory of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Robert Pruitt of Lowell, Arkansas; her six grandchildren and their spouses; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Obeda loved to tend to her flowers in her yard until the sun went down every summer evening. She loved to cook and you had better be ready for some pie, or something home cooked and sweet, if you went for a visit. She loved to dance- "cut a rug", and play with the kiddos. Obeda has waited a long time to reunite with her husband, Ray Carlos, and it for sure is a beautiful site! She will be missed dearly.
