

Suzanne Marie (Ward) Nagle went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2025. Suzanne was born on December 30, 1938, to Helen and William Ward in Joliet, Illinois.
Suzanne is survived by her three children: Laurie Ann Ely, Michael John Nagle, and Steven Ward Nagle (Kelly); Six grandchildren: Elliot Ely (Sarah), Alyssa Swanson (Philip), Dana Ely, Jonah Nagle, Grant Nagle, and Adela Nagle; Two great-granddaughters: Elle and Laine Swanson; Two sisters: Nancy Skuta, Lynette Stariha (Jake), and their thriving families. She is also survived by John S. Nagle, her loving ex-husband and very best friend to the very end.
Suzanne was a devout Catholic who cherished God and family. She received her Catholic Last Rites sacrament on the day of her passing which was witnessed by her daughter Laurie.
Suzanne will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She graduated with Honors from the University of Saint Francis with a degree in Medical Technology. For many years, Suzanne was a dutiful Navy wife and mother. She also had a successful and respected 25-year career with the City of Fort Worth Texas Government in the start-up and management of their new Ride Share program before retiring from their celebrated Risk Management Department.
She loved attending Catholic Mass and enjoying nature, parties, family gatherings, thrifting and antiquing with friends, canoe float trips, traveling, dancing, bird watching, flowers, volunteering, and all her many people. All are blessed to have known this kind, generous, elegant and saintly woman.
God granted Suzanne a warm and kind Christian heart which guided her life’s core values and her generous outreach to everyone God put in her life. She was especially sensitive, compassionate, and responsive to all who needed emotional support, warmth, and friendship.

Suzanne was cremated in accordance with her wishes, and she will remain with her family.
