Velma Joy Pitts, 77, died March 21, 2012 at Circle of Life in Springdale. Married in 1953, she was the loving wife for 59 years to Jack Pitts. She was born in Haskell, OK on November 9, 1934 to the late Jess and Quila Crum Crabtree.
She loved to feed baby parrots, hosting dinners for her church friends and spending time with her family.
Joy is survived by her husband of Rogers; son, Mark Pitts of Arizona and daughter, Kathy Abel of Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her memorial will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 5:00 pm in the Downtown Church of Christ, 201 W. Chestnut Street, Rogers.
