Viola M. Barnes Smith, 93, of Rogers passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 11, 1927 near Stigler, Oklahoma to the late LD and Dellie Nance. Viola was also preceded by 2 husbands, Albert Troy Barnes and Jim Smith; a son, Jess Alan Barnes all of Rogers; a grandson, Adam Barnes of Pittsburg, Kansas and 6 siblings. Vi left a lasting impression wherever she went. She will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, her fun sense of humor and adventure and for her selfless ways. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Joyce Aizpurua (Dodd) of Conway; 3 sons, Jerry Dean Barnes (Dianna) of Pittsburg, Kansas; Larry Wayne Barnes (Betty) of Rogers and David Troy Barnes (Dee) of Midlothian, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and dear friends.
