Wayne R. McGowan

He was born August 5, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Pearl Bryant McGowan and C.B. McGowan.

He was an electrical contractor and a member of Charity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. and Pearl McGowan, daughter, Jessica McGowan and brother, Leland McGowan.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jean McGowan of the home; three children, Jonah McGowan and his wife Sonya, Joanna Palacios and her husband David, and Ireland McGowan, all of Rogers; two brothers, Cecil and Ron McGowan, both of Dallas, and two sisters, Anita Bearden of Huntsville and Linda Estep of Fayetteville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wayne will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Rollins Funeral Home with Pastor John Nauman officiating. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or Circle of Life Hospice.
