Ms. Rollins was born in Lake City, South Carolina on April 28, 1927, daughter of the late James L. Rollins and Bertha Swann Rollins. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and continued her education with a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. She taught school for 40 years with most of those years at East Rome High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church Rome. She loved quilting and growing roses for floral shows. She was loved by her family, friends and students. She will be greatly missed by several cousins who survive.
Funeral services for Ms. Rollins will be conducted Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Thomas B. Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Bigger officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery.
