
Mr. Hefner was a contractor in the Atlanta area, specializing in homes in the Sandy Springs – Roswell – Alpharetta area before moving to the Floyd Springs community in the 1970’s. He was employed by the Rome – Floyd County Building Inspection Department. Since the death of his wife, Pauline Allen Hefner in July 2007, Mr. Hefner had been a resident of Beaufort, SC . Mr. Hefner will be remembered for his entertainingly wry sense of humor, his loyalty and devotion to family and friends, and the pervasive honesty with which he conducted business, related to people, and generally lived his life.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law Albert Jr and Lana Hefner; granddaughter and husband Britton and Aaron Glynn; grandson and wife Ashley and Katerine Hefner. Four grandchildren Pearson and Ashley Glynn and Vann and Ford Hefner also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at the Floyd Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Dan Hyde officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sanctuary Hospice PO Box 10911 B Jacob Smart Boulevard Ridgeland, SC 29936.
